Teaching Staff

Our TAGteach™ certified staff consists of highly regarded professional dancers and performing artists, each with exceptional teaching experience. Our teachers cultivate enthusiasm in our students through their own joy in dance and out of their sincere love for children (we TAG, we don’t nag!).

Nikki SellNikki Sell

Nikki began her pursuit of dance at the age of three at a small studio in Western Nebraska. As a teen, she spent her summers studying dance at the Ballet/ Aspen program in Colorado and at the Dupree Studios in Los Angeles. She completed her high school years at the Idyllwild School of Music and Performing Arts in California and graduated valedictorian of her class. She then studied at the Boston Conservatory, earning a BFA in Dance and graduating Summa Cum Laude and Salutatorian of her class. While at the Conservatory, Ms, Sell performed in works by Yasuko and Emiko Togunaga, Samuel Figuero, and AnnMarie Forsythm for which she was also a soloist, Ms. Sell’s choreography was presented on the mainstage in two adjudicated student choreography concerts and also as her senior thesis. She also held positions of staff writer and editor-in-chief of the student newspaper and was presented the Outstanding Student Leadership Award.
   Ms. Sell performs regionally and internationally with Prometheus Dance. The company, based in Cambridge, MA, was named “One of the Year’s Ten Best in Dance” By the Boston Phoenix (2004, 2007), the Boston Herald (2002), and the Boston Globe (2000) and is described as “one of the most intellectually challenging, visually stunning and physically gratifying companies in the area by Karen Cambell of the Boston Herald.
   Ms. Sell has also performed with ACE Entertainment (Allen Collier, Tommy Coye, Jimmy Viera and Jeannette Neill), Impulse (Adrienne Hawkins), Boston Dance Co. (Jimmy Reardon and Clyde Nantais), Brian Brooks Moving Co. and John Freedman Dancers. Her commercial and industrial credits include a leading role in an industrial video for Spaulding sports equipment and a TV commercial for W.B. Mason offce supplies, for which she was the choreographer.  Ms. Sell choreographed the 2006 Weston Drama Workshop production of “Ragtime” which won the prestigious Moss Award. Her most recent choreographic effort was presented March 2011 by the San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet for the Regional Dance America/ SW Festival.
   Ms. Sell has appeared as a master teacher for Regional Dance America/ SW Festival, San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet, Brandeis University, Framingham State College and Arts Rochester. Nikki is currently on faculty at the Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, Boston Youth Moves, Walnut Hill School and Academy, The Boston Conservatory and now she happily adds A Dancer’s Dream!
